Knowledge about womens experiences that after a myocardial infarction try to comply with dietary recommendation is relatively unknown today. Scientific studies have concentrated on men as a patient and the woman as a partner when it comes to myocardial infarction. Screening av förstagradsanhöriga till yngrekranskärlssjuka patienter

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av livskvalitet samt sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder i samband med cytostatikabehandling vid cancersjukdom. För att besvara studiens syfte har sökning efter artiklar (n=17) genomförts i databaserna Blackwell Synergy samt Elin@Dalarna. Följande sökord har använts i olika kombinationer; cancer, patients, experience, nurse care, quality of life, scale, instrument, chemotherapy och care. Resultatet visade att cytostatikabehandlingen hade både positiv och negativ inverkan på patienternas livskvalitet. Livskvaliteten ökade då symtom lindrades.

As a public nurse there is a great probability that you will meet patients that have had a myocardial infarction. We want to contribute to create a greater understanding of how a nurse can support and understand these people. The last 30 years the infarction care has made a big progress. Still many conceptions remain which means that for many people a myocardial infarction leads to a belief that this is the end of the working life, social life, sparetime activities and travelling. Due to this misbelief it is important that the nurse creates good conditions for the patient right from the start.

The databases used were Cinahl and ELIN.Results: There is a dissonance between what the patient and what the nurse is ranking to be the most important item to be informed about after a myocardial infarction. The patients prioritize information about symptoms and lifestylechanges.

Continuous training, written information and repetition for patient and family throughout the hospital stay are of considerable importance to clarify that the patient understands and to reduce the anxiety of being discharged.AimThe aim is to describe nurses' experiences of caring for older women with myocardial infarction.MethodsA qualitative method was used. The collection of data was done by six interviews with nurses in geriatric care and elderly care. Dataset has been processed based on a content analysis and divided into subcategories and main categories using meaningful units.ResultsNot having knowledge of older women with myocardial infarction was expressed as frustrating and nurses described how they were afraid to ask their colleagues.

Ångest vid hjärtinfarkt - En litteraturstudie om situationer som kan skapa ångest hos patienten med hjärtinfarkt och sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder.

The purpose of this review was to examine in what situations patients with myocardial infarction could feel anxiety. We also wanted to examine what a nurse could do to relieve the anxiety. The results are based on eight scientific articles and one literature review. The results shows that the patient could feel anxiety before examinations and transfers. The patient's anxiety increased if relatives had anxiety and if there were a lack of information from the nurse.

Acute myocardial infarction is a serious diagnosis. Both the patient and the loved ones experience an immediate uncertainty. To be able to emotionally support the patient´s spouse, the nurse in the coronary care unit must be prepared to also encounter the world of the spouse. The aim of this study was from a nursing perspective to illuminate how life was experienced during the first two months by the spouse of someone, who was stricken by a first time acute myocardial infarction.
